Kita Bet put on a lovely presentation as we taught the school how they can help bring Moshiach right away.

Kita Bet learned that this month on the 10th of Tevet we commemorate the beginning of the destruction of the Bet Hamikdash. The day King Nevuchad Netzar and his powerful army laid siege to Jerusalem, preventing the Jewish people from coming or going. This was the beginning of the process of the destruction of the Bet Hamidash and so we commemorate it with a fast day. It is a day to think about what good we can add into our world to help bring Moshiach, so we can once again have a Bet Hamikdash - and this time oen that will last forever. We learned all about what life will be like when Moshiach comes, and how we can help 'build' the Bait Hamidash by doing Mitzvot. Our Students of the month for Kislev were announced at our Rosh Chodesh assembly. Congratulations to Avraham, Illana, and Esther who worked so hard! Kita Bet is so proud of you!
After much hard work from the very beginning of the year Kita bet has completed the ice cream chart incentive! With chanuka approaching kita bet chose to have a chanukah party instead of the ice cream party as a reward for their excellent behavior. Chanuka fun was in the air as we prepared our classroom for our class Chanukah party, With decorative draidels coming out of every corner and down from the ceiling. We got to eat yummy doughnuts and play a grand game of draidel wth our very own decorated wooden draidels.
Just a few short weeks ago we celebrated our Chumash Party with all of you, and with much pride, joy and anticipation we opened our chumashim for the very first time. Kita Bet is now learning Parshat Berieshit starting with the 6 days of creation, and as we learn about the worlds very beginning we talked about the reason why Hashem created the world in the first place. We learned that Hashem wanted a world where people will do good and bring moshiach. so in order for that to happen, he created the sky and the sea and birds and trees. Kita Bets excitement for learning Torah only grows as we continue to discover powerful lessons in the Torah's holy pages.
