Our year is off to a great start! after a busy month of Holidays and getting settled into new routines and learning habits Kita daled is off to a great year.
We have been rigorously reviewing prerequisite skills for Chumash, like; Techiliot, Sofiot, otiot eitan, Shem etzem, poal..... and can't wait to open up our Chumashim very soon. This year we will be learning Prashat Lech Lecha and after learning the parsha in brief this past week our students are intrigued and excited to learn the stories and life lessons this parsha has to teach us from inside the torah text.
I am proud of their progress in their skills review and drill. It is amazing to see our 4th grade students gaining valuable skills that are helping them be independent and autonomous learners.
We have also began our first unit in Ivrit and are enoying the individualized level our school provides so that every student is challenged and supported to their needs. Ivrit and Chumash often intertwine and each subject helps us learn the other better. In 4th grade all the amazing knowledge that's been planted finally blooms and we see amazing lightbulbs flashing as our students connect what they've learned on a practicle level and can independently understand chumash and Ivrit and the peices of what makes up a word.
