This month in Kita Bet we have been busy getting to know each other and learning all about the special holidays in the hebrew month of Tishrei. From Rosh Hashana to Yom kippor and a short break before we dove right into Chag Hasukkot, students are learning a lot about our hebrew calandar and our holidays.
Along with exploring the special mitzvot and traditions, kita bet has been getting acquainted with the Tal Am curriculum , and made a smooth transition into the complete program of 2nd grade and hebrew immersion. Already, you will hear us using hebrew phrases as part of our classroom conversations, reading hebrew literature together, and comfortably using our completely hebrew workbooks.
In second grade we learn a lot and work hard, but we always get to have fun too! Today we made a special project in honor of Chag Hasukkot. After learning all about the Arbaat Haminim and what makes a kosher sukka we got to work on building our own. Check out these pictures of students hard at work on their yummy edible sukkot!
